Happy New Year from The Wild WE!!!!
Hello Ladies!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to extend my humblest gratitude to you for joining The Wild WE team! I am amazed every day at the fortune my board and I have had in finding such committed, enthusiastic women. To think, within 6 months (Yes, we've only been in operation for 6 months)we had over 700 women join Wild Women Entrepreneurs! It's incredible, isn't it.
No one can do a task like this alone. I created this to help women like yourself (and like me) to achieve their goals. Help me continue on this journey forward and let's help these women to believe that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!
Happy New Year!
Love,
Ja-Naé

The Passing of a Woman Entrepreneur...
It has been a long week in my world so I thought I would share a bit with you.
Tuesday I buried my grandmother. Susan Walsh was 101 years old, died at home, was on no medication and other than being old had nothing wrong with her. She passed quietly while her oldest daughter said prayers to her. What was her secret?
Moderation and hard work!!!
Susan came to this country alone, at the age of 13. The journey by boat took 3 months. We won't even send our 13 year old girls to the store alone. When she arrived in America from Ireland her aunt put her to work. She was a house maid and nanny for many years. Susan's passage to adulthood was peppered with tragedy that was never spoke of. She did not speak of her family or home in Ireland often.
I only knew her old. My grandmother was 70 when I was born. At that point she was a volunteer at the community center "feeding the old people lunch" and teaching handicapped children to swim. She walked to church every morning, actually she walked everywhere.
Everything in moderation is a motto she lived by. Susan never drank or smoked and ate moderately but loved sweets. Susan would rather skip her lunch and have a small piece of cake.
My grandmother had a great impact on me. I was a pupil more through observation. Her actions were much stronger than her words, which by the way, were never weak.
Susan Walsh was a person one did not forget easily, be it her welcoming way, her sharp wit or the twinkle in her eyes. Susan was a petite person but not frail. She was solid and robust, full of life, song, dance. Charming and coy would also describe her.
I find comfort from her memory when I am overwhelmed with life, not sure where I will end up. I think of her at the age of 38 with 3 children under the age of 4 years, owner of a 12 room boarding house in Boston, MA without a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher or electric refridgerator. Now really, how can I complain.
I think of her as an Entrepreneur- using her skills and knowledge to survive and succeed.
I think it is she that taught me to be a "Wild Women", to never let my fears overpower my dreams and to always have fun no matter the task.
Life is what you make of it so make the best of it!
Wildly yours,
